How SaunaDesignPro protects design data

SaunaDesignPro explains what information the sauna designer collects, how it is used and shared, and the choices you have over your data. Updated August 27, 2026.

We use anonymized design and usage data to improve sauna design recommendations, structural calculations, climate guidance, material estimates, and product compatibility.

This policy covers the design inputs, usage events, account and order details, native iOS device-local designs, and uploaded files or text handled by SaunaDesignPro, and how you can review, correct, or request deletion of your information.

Information we collect

We collect the details needed to run the designer and support your project.

  • Design inputs such as room dimensions, layout choices, materials, heaters, benches, openings, and accessories.
  • Usage events such as page views, design step progress, clicks, errors, shares, saves, and checkout activity.
  • Account, contact, order, and support details when you log in, request help, or start a purchase.
  • Files or text you choose to upload or send through AI design tools.

How we use it

We use your information to operate the product, improve recommendations, and support your requests.

  • To run the 3D designer, save or share designs, generate material estimates, and support checkout workflows.
  • To improve sauna recommendations, structural calculations, climate guidance, material estimates, and product compatibility.
  • To troubleshoot bugs, understand product usage, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
  • To respond to requests, support orders, and communicate about your project when you ask us to.

How we share it

We share information only with service providers and partners needed to operate SaunaDesignPro, including hosting, analytics, email delivery, CRM/support tools, payment and checkout providers, shipping or supplier partners for orders, and professional advisors when required. We may also disclose information to comply with law, protect users, prevent abuse, or complete a business transfer. We do not sell personal information.

Retention

We keep web design, lead, support, account, checkout, and order records for as long as needed to provide the service, support your project, satisfy legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and improve the product. Local saved designs in the native iOS app remain on your device until you delete them or clear saved designs from Settings. The iOS app does not automatically upload designs, room scans, raw meshes, camera images, video, or usage events.

If you tap Get it built in the iOS app, the app opens the corresponding design in an in-app browser by placing design parameters in the URL. That handoff contains no name, email address, contact details, or device identifier. The web experience then follows this policy.

Analytics

We use analytics tools to understand how visitors move through the designer. AI chat analytics are stored as metadata such as message length, image presence, response time, and success or error status. Raw prompt text is not sent to analytics events.

Uploaded content

Uploaded plans, images, PDFs, CAD files, notes, and other attachments are used to generate or improve your requested sauna design output. Do not upload content unless you have the right to use it for that purpose.

SketchUp GLB imports are retained in private cloud storage so we can inspect the file, perform the requested native design conversion, review import quality, prevent abuse, and provide support. The original GLB is not publicly served through the converted design link.

iOS camera and local storage

The native iOS app uses the camera only after you start a RoomPlan or ARKit room/bench scan, or choose AR placement. Scan processing happens on the device. SaunaDesignPro does not retain or upload raw scan meshes, camera images, or video; only geometry you approve is saved locally in the design.

Your choices and deletion requests

You can use the designer without creating an account. You can contact us to ask about your information, request corrections, opt out of non-essential communications, or request deletion where available.

To request deletion of server-side lead, contact, support, account, or uploaded SketchUp source records, email hello@saunadesignpro.com with the email address tied to your request. In the iOS app, open Settings and use the support email or Privacy Policy link. Some records may be retained when required for legal, security, accounting, fraud-prevention, or order-support reasons.
