A deeper stone chamber
AIR L keeps the narrow 18.3-inch body width but extends to 18.1 inches deep. Its raised stainless grille and rear intake column sit above the 33-inch body, so plan with the complete assembly.

Saunum AIR L Black (Closed Basket) sauna heater
Saunum’s commercial-grade climate equalizer: 180 lb of stone, rooms to 812 cu ft, and the same 2" closed-basket clearances as the home AIR.
The AIR L is the heater Saunum builds for gyms, spas, and serious home rooms - a lower rock basket, commercial-grade components, and the latest prewired power box with cable whip. The Dec 2025 manual widened its room ranges (AIR L 10 now covers 283-494 cu ft) and sets a 73" minimum ceiling for every size.

The most reliable, commercial-grade heater Saunum builds
The AIR L is the most reliable heater Saunum offers, built for daily club and spa cycles. Its industrial-grade heating elements are expected to outlast any other sauna heater under intense, back-to-back use, and 180 lb of stone paired with the patented air blending still delivers dense, soft, even steam from 283 up to 812 cu ft.
The stratification fix that matters most in big rooms
Tall commercial rooms stratify worst. The AIR L’s ceiling-intake column and three-speed fan recirculate the hot layer down to bench level - the same system Saunologia measured cutting head-to-toe spread by more than half.
Tight 2" clearances for a commercial heater
The solid Nordic Black closed basket needs only 2" side and front clearance to combustibles, with rear-against-wall placement and a max 3.9" niche - rare flexibility in the 10-15 kW class.
Built-in Himalayan salt therapy
Salt spheres sit in the airstream between the outlet grille and fan, releasing salt ions through the room - a spa upsell that ships in the box, with an aroma cup for essential-oil sessions.
Prewired for a cleaner install
Latest AIR L units ship with a prewired power box, cable whip, and external temperature sensor. 240V single-phase at 50-80 A breakers depending on size; never on a GFCI per the manual.
Nobody knows Saunum like the Bens at Sauna Marketplace
The Bens have worked hand-in-hand with the Saunum team since the brand first reached the US, run Saunum heaters in their own saunas, and have been part of Saunum pilot projects, testing, and R&D tuned for the US market. When you have a sizing, install, or steam question, you are talking to the people who helped shape the US lineup.
