Every kit here has a SaunaDesignPro page with its 3D model. More kits, not yet modeled, are at Sauna Marketplace: every listing.
The numbers that decide, one row per kit.
Outside footprints are length by width, with porches and roof overhangs where the maker includes them. Inside height is the finished ceiling, or a barrel’s inside diameter.
Short answers to what decides an outdoor kit, each from the maker’s own documents or the store listing.
Delivery and the base
Kits come by freight. The CL5G arrives curbside on a liftgate truck, and the Kohler C2 comes in one or two large pallets whose sections carry through doorways. Plan the route from the curb to the site.
Outdoors, the base comes first: Thermory prefers concrete, pavers or crushed stone that stay dry, kept level so the door closes right.
The CL5G carries a full shingle roof kit with drip edges. Thermory’s barrels come with a PVC roof cover, and Kohler’s C2 has an insulated roof under an EPDM membrane.
Each listing names its kit’s roof and what comes with it.
An electric heater needs its own circuit run out to the sauna. Kohler’s C2 plugs into a NEMA 14-50 receptacle on a 50 A circuit with a Class A GFCI, and Thermory’s brochure puts it plainly: an electric heater needs a 240 V line and an electrician.
A wood stove needs no heater circuit, but it needs a chimney and the clearances its manual sets. The SaunaLife G2 offers one.
Every sauna here arrives as parts. Auroom puts the Cala Glass at about 4 to 6 hours for two people. Thermory’s guides call for two people on every barrel, and SaunaLife rates the G2 at two days for two.
Kohler recommends a professional installer for the C2, and the Kohler C1 and C2 listings offer white-glove delivery and assembly as an option.
A full glass front opens a small cabin to the room or the yard: the Cala Glass, Cala Glass Mini, Libera Glass and CL5G have one, and the Square No. 40 adds a panoramic rear window.
Glass also takes heat out, so heater makers count it as extra room: Harvia adds 3.94 cu ft for every square foot of glass, HUUM 3.3. The heater catalog adds it for you.
Kohler’s C1 and C2 come with a FERO heater. The others offer heater packages chosen for that sauna on the listing: a Harvia KIP, Spirit or HUUM DROP for the CL5G, a Harvia KIP or Saunum Air Perfect for the Cala Glass.
For wood heat, the SaunaLife G2 listing offers a Harvia M3 or HUUM HIVE Flow stove. Size any heater on the room plus the maker’s allowance for glass; the heater catalog does the sum.
A level, stable base that stays dry. Thermory prefers concrete, pavers or crushed stone under its barrels, and asks for the base frame to sit above the ground. Each kit’s manual gives its own base.
Yes, every one. Each card opens the kit’s SaunaDesignPro page, where you can turn the model around and look inside. For a sauna of your own design, the designer builds it in 3D as you go.
